5 Most In-Demand Jobs in India This Year

Despite vociferous debates on the state of the Indian economy, there is no denying that the country continues to remain a global economic power. And a large part of this development is credited to digital technology.

 

2020’s top emerging job market clearly reflects that technology will continue to dominate the employment sector. According to a McKinsey report, India is the second-fastest digitizing economy in the world. The same report expects that by 2025, India’s tech sector will deliver $1 trillion in economic value and sustain up to 65 million jobs.

 

LinkedIn in its report titled, “2020 Emerging Jobs Report India”, has elaborated on the top 15 most in-demand jobs in India and what skills one will require to land these positions.

1. Blockchain Developer: They develop and optimize blockchain protocols and design the architecture of blockchain systems. The developers are needed to help build products and services associated with technology, like contracts and apps. Skills you need: Hyperledger, Solidity, Node.js, Smart Contract             

 

2. Artificial Intelligence Specialist: Machines don’t just retain information and automate processes, but actually perceive the environment and take autonomous action to achieve goals. Artificial Intelligence specialists work on getting machines to learn. Skills you need: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, TensorFlow, Python (Programming Language), Natural Language Processing (NLP)

 

3. JavaScript Developer: You may have heard of front-end web developers who work on the styling of web applications, JavaScript developers build and implement the front-end logic that defines how those visual elements behave. Skills you need: AngularJS, Node.js, React Native, MongoDB

 

4. Robotic Process Automation Consultant (RPA): The process of creating software robots to automate manual business processes previously performed by humans is known as RPA. Key role is to understand the different needs of the organizations, rather than simply applying a one-size-fits-all approach. Skills you need: UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Process Automation, SQL

 

5. Back-end Developer: Everything you don’t see and touch on a web application is the realm of the back-end developer. In charge of building and implementing what a particular web application is meant to do, back-end developers work on the components that are directly accessed by a user through the shiny front-end. Skills you need: Node.js, MongoDB, JavaScript, Django, MySQL
