Addison Rae's skimpy see-through dress is giving swimsuit vibes

The underwear as outerwear trend is still thriving and certainly ain't going anywhere (CC. Dua Lipa, Hailey Bieber and celebrities alike). But flying the flag for the influencer camp is none other than social media and TikTok star, Addison Rae with her interpretation of the iconic 'see-through' dress.

Over the weekend [3 December, 2023], Addison attended the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures third annual gala and of course, went all out in the fashion department. Stepping out onto the red carpet, the 23-year-old was seen to be wearing a backless black chantilly lace sheath dress by designer Roberto Cavalli.

The floor-length gown is a part of the recent spring/summer 2024 collection by Fausto Puglisi and as shown below, features a deep plunging neckline and has been intricately embroidered with sleek black jet feather motifs. 

I mean, she looks simply stunning! Wouldn't you agree?

Arguably, the most on-trend part of this ensemble (and ofc, our favourite) has to be the fact that it not only has cutouts above the hips to create the illusion of a cinched, snatched waist but that it's see-through, too. And as mentioned, exposed underwear is so in!

Though, keeping the look runway-appropriate, Addison paired the dress with a black thong and accessorised with chunky platform heels, making for a glam like no other.
