After multiple unforeseen delays—owing to the ongoing pandemic, in particular—wedding bells are ringin' for lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The beloved pair is all set to get hitched in a few days at the ancestral RK House, where Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, too, tied the knot, back in 1980. Reportedly, it was the groom-to-be who narrowed down the Chembur family home as the wedding venue to marry the love of his life in a close-knit affair, away from the limelight. 

With respect to dates, an insider told Pinkvilla, "The wedding is taking place in April—the festivities will take place between 14th-17th April. During this period, the sangeet and mehendi ceremonies will be held as well." While the nuptials will be an intimate affair in the presence of family and close friends, the couple will reportedly host a grand, star-studded reception for their industry colleagues thereafter, towards the end of the month. Why 17th April, you ask? Let's recap and recall that '8' is Ranbir Kapoor's lucky number, and 1+7 = 8. 

But wait up, before the wedding festivities kick-off, let's talk bachelor party, shall we? A source has revealed to India Today that Ranbir's closest friends, including Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Ayan Mukerji, will be attending the 39-year-old's bachelor bash. "The actor is planning a bachelor party at his place; it will be attended by his close buddies from the industry, as well as his childhood friends," the insider said. While there's no scoop about Alia Bhatt's bachelorette party with her squad, we're sure the actor would love to celebrate with her girl gang days ahead of her wedding. 

Now, let's talk about the fashion at the wedding—undoubtedly the most anticipated aspect of a celebrity affair. Another source spoke to a media portal and confessed, "Alia will wear Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi outfits for her wedding celebrations. Recently, Ranbir's mom, Neetu Kapoor, was spotted at Manish Malhotra's flagship store, and Manish, too, was spotted at their house." An insider has confirmed to India Today that the star will be donning a Sabyasachi ensemble on her big day; carrying forward Bollywood's exquisite love affair with the master couturier's exquisite creations.

After the close-knit nuptials, we have a grand celebrity soirée to look forward to, which will be attended by the who's who of the film fraternity, including Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan, Ayan Mukerji, Aditya Roy Kapur, Arjun Kapoor, Karan Johar, and more. "Both the families have decided the wedding will happen around the second week of April. This decision was taken given Ranbir and Alia's impending work commitments," a source concluded.
