Selena Gomez's see-through, vine-covered dress is red hot at the VMAs

It was a good night for Selena Gomez at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards last night. The annual event took place in New Jersey and saw musical artists including Taylor Swift, Doja Cat and Nelly Furtado all in attendance. As well as Gomez's win for the Best Afrobeats award alongside Rema for the duo's work on "Calm Down", we're also crowning her as one of the best dressed of the night, too.

Attending her first VMAs in eight years, the singer and actor made sure her return was noted as she quite literally stole the show in her stunning 'fit. Repping naked dressing (AKA the much-loved celebrity trend of the moment), Gomez's look consisted of a nude mini underlay with an intricate red beaded structure woven into a floral pattern on top.

As well as the beading embellishment covering her torso, it also included a sculptural halterneck strap and a tasselled hem that looks like it's made of actual vine tendrils. Yep, this dress is basically a piece of nature-inspired art. Gomez added Jimmy Choo red barely-there heeled sandals, while silver gem-encrusted earrings and rings shaped like butterflies kept the nature theme of her look going.

Gomez later switched up her look for a VMA after-party. She stuck to jewel tones, changing into a bold purple mini dress with a bustier top. The singer was seen adding a black leather jacket embroidered with butterfly and flower motifs over the 'fit. Black pointed-toe pumps and a crystal-embellished tasselled bag completed the look.

Two stand-out lewks and a VMA win? We'd call that a good night. Congrats, Selena!
