The Cosmopolitan India Editor’s Lunch at POMPA was all about camaraderie, culinary excellence, and refreshing cocktails

A mid-summer day seemed like the perfect time to catch up for a delectable meal and intriguing conversations, and that's exactly what the Cosmopolitan India Editor's Lunch was all about. Hosted at POMPA, a Mexican gem in Bandra West, the event brought together some of the most creative minds in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. 

Helmed by the Tham brothers, Ryan and Keenan, this flamboyant eatery reflects the playful spirit of a classic Spanish restaurant. Bold hues of red and green, tassels and fringed décor, terracotta flooring, etc were some of the countless details reminiscent of traditional Mexican aesthetics. Owing to its curved silhouette, the restaurant has diverse seating arrangements from plush couches to high chairs, all positioned around a very trendy circular-shaped bar. 

The restaurant had an enchanting garden-of-time aesthetic that resonated with the theme of the event. Stunning florals along with fruits and candles in verdant green and white hues laden across tables made for an enchanting and welcoming setting.

This refreshing ambience along with the exceptional gastronomy at POMPA provided the perfect backdrop for lively conversations. Offering a wide selection of Mexican fare, the menu curated by Chef Jason James Hudanish and team, included signature creations such as habanero fried chicken, spicy truffle mushroom, fajitas halloumi, garbanzo burrito bowl, and more that left guests yearning for more. Sweet, decadent desserts are an important part of Mexican cuisine, and POMPA’s selection of desserts such as churros, flambè basque cheesecake, and tres leches, is all the proof we needed. 

A perfect accompaniment to the delectable food menu, the celebrated gin brand, Tanqueray riveted our guests with a refreshing cocktail menu, crafted by the cocktail maestros at POMPA. In another special surprise, guests received a personalised green shaker from Tanqueray, which served as a memorable keepsake of the Cosmopolitan Editor’s Lunch.

 

Between the tacos and cocktails, we witnessed a vibrant dialogue exchange between individuals from diverse backgrounds, be it acting, content creation, fashion, etc. Prominent personalities like Rij Eappen, Malini Agarwal, Manara Chopra, Manasi Scott, and Sona Mohapatra added to the vigour of the event. As the evening unfolded, the event became a celebration of connections and aspiring mindsets. 

 

Creativity and camaraderie were at the centre of this Cosmopolitan Editor's Lunch, setting a new standard for the events to follow.
