Payyoli Tevaraparampil Usha aka PT Usha needs no introduction. The illustrious Indian athlete has broken many a record and won millions of hearts throughout her career. Even after over two decades, PT Usha is considered to be the ‘Queen of Indian track and field’. And the 57-year-old ‘Payyoli Express’, as she is fondly called by her fans, is unstoppable.
She took to Twitter to thank her team for their support. “Heartfelt thanks to my team for their unconditional trust and support,” she says.

She had earlier announced via Twitter that she would be submitting her name for the position of IOA president.

PT Usha is one of the most illustrated Indian athletes in the history of India. She has won 11 medals overall, including four golds at the Asian Games between 1982 and 1994. She also won four gold medals at the Asian Games in Seoul in 1986, taking first place in the 200, 400, 400-meter hurdles, and 4x400-meter relay races.
