Give your street style a makeover with these fun tips

Pairing different pieces to curate a trendy outfit is what this month looks like in the evolving fashion realm. If you are looking for some inspiration to mix and match your wardrobe pieces find these fits to add the glam.

Nishtha Sharma, 26

My corduroy corset-like top has a dungaree-style front closure, which adds a trendy twist to it. I’ve paired this with a sleek black skirt. The look is completed by my sporty chic black Puma sneakers, black sunglasses, quirky silver earrings, and an antique silver necklace worn as a bracelet. To me, this look is bold and effortlessly chic.

Ananya Jain, 19

My basic white crop top is effortlessly elevated with a pair of flared cargo pants adorned with denim patches. To keep it simple, I have refrained from heavy accessories...however, the Y2K wrap-around silver sunglasses adds a touch of retro charm and I've worn classic Nike shoes. This look, I feel, fuses casual comfort and self-expression—every detail speaks volumes about my individuality.

Ashni Mehta, 31

I love finding statement pieces and pairing them to create a visually intriguing ensemble. For this look, I’ve paired beige crochet-knit pants with a denim corset that features a rosette accent. I’ve accessorised with trendy sunglasses and an oversized clutch...I feel it is the perfect day-to-night street-style outfit.

Vanshita Verma, 21

When it comes to fashion, I am all about expressing myself and trying out new things. I love mixing and matching styles to create something unique. Accessorising is my secret sauce...that is what brings everything together and gives my outfit an extra oomph. I feel even hair and make-up are game changers. When it comes to style, it is all about the little details that make the magic happen.

Migma Lhamu Wangdi Lyngdoh, 22

I put together this outfit influenced by the office siren aesthetic. The colour palette is cherry red and grey, and my make-up complements the hues. I love skirts—in fact the shorter, the better. So I cut the original skirt, which is a vintage that’s been passed down through generations in my family, to achieve this look. The kitten heels and ankle socks complete this look for me. The blazer was optional but I think it elevates the outfit and matches the aesthetic I was going for. Lastly, my carryall is the versatile (thrifted) Gucci bag.

Vimi Punjab, 24

I have always gravitated towards street style as it champions individuality, personal expression, and authenticity...qualities that I strive to reflect in my outfits as well. One of the proudest creations I’ve managed to craft from scratch is this corset top and a choker, both made from a repurposed denim tote bag. For a monochromatic look, I’ve paired the top with thrifted bell-bottom denims, and accessorised with metallic silver shades and chunky silver jewellery.
