Rejoice, #VicKat fans! The 'too-good-to-be-true' couple is *finally* hitched. Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif tied the knot in an intimate ceremony yesterday at the Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Last evening, the duo took to Instagram to share a glimpse of their gorgeous affair, putting fans out of their misery (we've seriously, sincerely, been keeping an eye out for updates!)
Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania and Akshay Tyagi, the power couple turned muse for master couturier Sabyasachi, donning exquisite ensembles for their wedding pheras. In the words of the designer, "Katrina Kaif wears a classic Sabyasachi red bridal lehenga in handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work and meticulously embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet. Her veil is custom-trimmed with handmade Kiran in hand-beaten silver electroplated in gold—a nod to Vicky's cultural roots."
She accessorised her mesmerising attire with bespoke jewellery from Sabyasachi's Heritage collection, featuring uncut diamonds in 22k gold detailed with hand-strung pearls. What particularly caught our eye was the gorgeous Nath (nose ring), stacked Polki bangles, and mathapatti the bride had adorned, along with a mangalsutra made of two small drop diamonds. She brought her bridal look together with custom-made kaleeras by Mrinalini Chandra, with each charm carrying a personal handwritten message by her. And, how can we forget to mention the sapphire platinum Tiffany ring on her finger!
Katrina brought the look together by opting for a minimalist, soft glam makeup look—courtesy of Daniel Bauer, her makeup artist—and added a dash of elegance by pulling her hair back into a tight bun, embellishing it with fragrant mogra flowers.
To complement his beautiful bride, Vicky threw on an "ivory silk sherwani with intricate marori embroidery and iconic Sabyasachi handcrafted gold-plated Bengal Tiger buttons, with a silk kurta and churidar. The shawl is a tussar georgette with a zari marori embroidered pallu and borders." He also wore a Benarasi silk tissue safa paired with a handcrafted kilangi and a statement necklace studded in emeralds, brilliant-cut and rose-cut diamonds, quartz, and tourmalines, in 18k gold, all from Sabyasachi Heritage jewellery.
Heartiest congratulations to the couple!
