Undisputed songwriting genius Lana Del Rey sadly didn't walk away with any Grammys during 2024's awards, and there's been some (apparently misplaced!) speculation that she's upset about it. In part due to her posting a video of Taylor Swift winning Album of the Year and bringing her on stage set to the tune of "Summertime Sadness."
But Lana responded to a fan account expressing their disappointment at the loss, saying "I literally just loved being there. I love to see everyone, get the tea and hang out. Get dressed up I literally did not feel 1 ounce of negative emotion at any point in that award ceremony. It was pure funniness and laughter."
FYI, Taylor Swift shouted out Lana while on stage accepting Album of the Year, saying "Lana Del Rey, who is hiding, but I think so many female artists would not be where they are and would not have the inspiration they have if it weren’t for the work that she’s done. I think she’s a legacy artist, a legend in her prime right now. I’m so lucky to know you and to be your friend."
Meanwhile, Lana and Taylor posed for E! News' red carpet glambot, and seemed to have a lot of fun planning their vibes:
They also arrived at the show together—in the pouring rain—and Taylor called out over her shoulder "Lana you good?"
Anyway, clearly Lana had a positive experience at the Grammys despite not taking home an award—and considering she's working on a country album called Lasso, there's always next year!
