Whether you like it or not, Kim Kardashian is at the forefront of Hollywood's most influential celebrities. From her curated collaboration with Dolce and Gabbana to SKIMS and even her very own private equity firm, it seems that there is nothing the multi-hyphenate business head cannot do. And all that talent (bc, clearly, she has bounds of it) doesn't fall short in the beauty department.
Not only is she the founder of the skincare brand, SKKN but Kardashian is continuing to pave the way for hair and makeup trends with looks on looks on lewks. Remember mermaid hair? Yep – need I say more? And today, following in the footsteps of Anne Hathaway, Kardashian confirms the rise (and fall, if you will...) of the 'waterfall fringe'.
Just last night, Kardashian showed up and out at the 2023 CFDA Awards held in the American Museum of Natural History, rocking said new haircut. See a select few pap snaps below:
Gorge, right?
As shown, for the red carpet event, Kardashian wore her glossy raven tresses up and in a Pamela Anderson-esque 'do. Aka her strands have been bundled at the crown of her head with effortless tendrils falling down and out to frame the face.
The star of the show (read: hairstyle), however, had to be the new piecey fringe that Kardashian is sporting. Giving texture and definition to the face-framing cut, the star opted for gradient-style bangs. As we can see from the reference pics above, this is defined by longer pieces of hair that gradually reduce in length the further inward they get – but still maintain their shaggy, undone, eye-grazing finish. Hence it's waterfall name.
Now, while we cannot confirm whether or not this is a full-on haircut or a temporary clip-in extension piece, there's no denying that Kardashian's glam fringe is high-fashion chic. *Chef's kiss*
