Hailey Bieber claps back at body shamers amidst pregnancy rumours

Hailey Bieber has seen herself caught up in numerous internet storms this year. When she wasn’t accused of feuding with Selena Gomez in awkward Instagram posts, or throwing shade at Taylor Swift after allegedly ‘gagging’ in a video at the mention of her, many have publicly speculated whether the 26-year-old is pregnant.

The model married pop icon Justin Bieber in 2018, with the rumour mill whirring around whether model Hailey Bieber is expecting the couple’s first child.

However, the star has absolutely no time for any internet gossip, shutting down any potential speculation about whether she’s having a baby.

“Recently, everybody was like, ‘Oh, my God, she’s pregnant,’ and that’s happened to me multiple times before,” she said in candid new interview with GQ magazine.

“There is something that’s disheartening about damn, I can’t be bloated one time and not be pregnant? It would be a lie if I was like, ‘Oh, yeah, I don’t give a sh**.”

From a famous family herself, as the daughter of American actor and film producer Stephen Baldwin, Bieber knows the pressures of being brought up under the white hot gaze of the spotlight.

While she’s previously expressed the desire to raise her family away from the public eye, Bieber now believes that is simply not possible due to her huge profile.

“It’s so hard to say what I’m going to do or not do when there isn’t even a child here yet,” she explained. “I don’t even know what it feels like to be a parent other than a dog parent yet. And that’s not the same thing, by any means.”

If she ever does decide to start a family, Bieber is clear that the internet “will be the last to know” the happy news.

“[Motherhood] is something that I look forward to,” she said. “It’s also such a private, intimate thing. It’s something that’s going to come when it comes. And it’s just, honestly, at the end of the day, so hilarious how much people f***ing care. Let me do what I want to do with my body and you guys can do what you want to do with your bodies—and let’s just let it be that.”
