Eva Longoria is making a case for bringing back dramatic XXL lashes

Eva Longoria just altered my brain chemistry, because I'm the first to rant about big, obviously fake eyelashes. But the XXL lashes she just wore? *chef's kiss* Everything. Delightful.

Her hair stylist Dimitris Giannetos just shared photos of the actress on Instagram and I can't stop looking at them. The pictures and the lashes.

The dark brown smokey eye really goes all in, no holding back, and is a striking backdrop for the long bold lashes, fanning out and stretching up right to the brows. And don't get me started on the brows. All I can hear is the TikTok sound "more energy, more passion", because that is what this whole eye look is. Quiet luxury where? Clean girl aesthetic who? I'm all about minimal makeup look but wham-bam-thank-you-mam did this just remind me how good going all-out full glam can be. 

It was the work of MUA Elan Bongiorno, Eva's go-to who travels the world with her creating lewk after lewk. The striking eye makeup took centre-stage thanks to Dimitris' simple and timeless ponytail, pulling the hair away from Eva's face, but with a micro-parting to one side just to soften the look compared to a snatched slick back.

Maybe this has inspired me to start using some of the hoard of eyelashes I've collected – and continue to collect – but never wear? If you see me doing a corner shop run in extreme-length fluttery falsies, don't be startled.
