A Tale of Three Weddings: Priyaank Sharma Ties the Knot With Shaza Morani

Priyaank Sharma (son of veteran actress Padmini Kolhapuri) recently married his highschool sweetheart Shaza Morani (daughter of producer Karim Morani) in a series of three exotic and fun-filled, intimate wedding celebrations spanning from the Maldives to Mumbai. First, there was the low-key court wedding in Mumbai. Then, the couple flew to the sunny Maldives, surrounded by their closest family and friends, for a picturesque beach wedding. After this, it was back to Mumbai for a traditional, intimate ceremony.

Priyaank's cousins, actors Shraddha Kapoor and Siddhanth Kapoor, could be seen having quite a blast at the wedding, and the whole family came together to celebrate with joy. Cosmo India spoke to Shaza and Priyaank, to talk about their journey of love, from how they met to their big day, and take you inside their fun-filled wedding(s).

"We met in Jamnabai school in 9th grade," remembers Shaza with a smile, as she relates how the couple had been dating for 16 years. It seemed to follow that the proposal to follow this grand courtship would itself be rather grand, and when we at Cosmo asked Priyaank, he did not disappoint! "I took her on a helicopter ride." he shared," Which flew over a beach where I had placed a huge flex asking her to marry me. The thought behind this was that she’s always been above everyone and everything, so I wanted to take her above everyone and everything to make her mine." 

Shaza made a stunning bride, and she looked beautiful and at-ease in every outfit she wore. "For my white wedding, I wore a gown which was a collaboration between my best friend Neeva (whose label is Rutu Neeva) and my mother-in-law's label Padmasitaa."

"For the beach party, I wore an outfit by one of my closest friends, Ushma Vaidya." 

Then it was off to Mumbai for the traditional Indian wedding, where the fun and fanfare continued."For my Pheras, I wore a love story lehenga by Kresha Bajaj," Shaza tells us. "For me, this outfit highlighted the journey of our 16-year love story!"

 "Being surrounded by only those closest and nearest to you on your special day makes you feel truly loved," she adds. "There is no better feeling!"
