WHOA! This Lake in Bengaluru Actually Caught Fire

The fact that water doesn't catch fire and actually extinguishes it is a scientific fact. But then again, science didn't didn't take into consideration the results if the water in question was highly polluted.

For the last couple of weeks now, the Bellandur Lake in Bengaluru has been making many headlines. The pollution caused by sewage and industrial waste has reached alarming levels and caused the lake to actually start frothing. No kidding!

And what's more, the foam actually caught fire last week. Check out this video:

And if a lake on fire wasn't scary enough, thanks to rains, the foam from the lake has actually started to spill on to the roads. Oh and did I mention, the lake started foaming in the first place because of high levels of sewage of industrial waste. Read: toxic stuff!

Let's just hope they manage to clean it up before that lake figures out something new and more toxic to do.
