However, in 2020 Alia was in news for buying a 32-croe flat in Bandra. As per reports this 2,460 sqft apartment is in Vaastu Pali Hill complex, the same apartment complex where Ranbir Kapoor stays. While he stays on the 7th floor, Alia’s flat is on the fifth floor and its close to Krishna Raj Bungalows, the residence of the Kapoors. This home which is under construction will be designed by Gauri Khan.

She said: "I had a dream to buy a house in London and I did it in 2018. It's in Covent Garden and my sister lives there part-time.” Though Alia hasn’t shared any snapshots of her London home but Shaheen has put up some photos on Instagram of the views around, of her walks and some of her selfies taken in the apartment.
