Yesterday news broke that Dua Lipa and Jack Harlow are dating (it's called manifesting!), and obviously we all have questions. While neither Dua nor Jack have commented on their relationship status, several sources have popped up who appear more than happy to dish, so let's get into it.
First of all, an Us Weekly insider confirmed that Dua and Jack have been "talking," adding that “They like each other and are both excited to see where things go next." This source noted that the couple "had FaceTimed before when Jack asked Dua permission for his song about her, but that was an awkward call for everyone." But things became less awkward when they met IRL at the Variety Hitmakers Brunch earlier this month, and decided to stay in touch because they “liked each other’s” vibe.
Got it. Meanwhile, People's source simply added that they are "hanging out."
As a reminder, Jack previously spoke on The Breakfast Club about asking Dua if he could use her name as the title to his song (which features the lyric “Dua Lipa, I'm tryna do more with her than do a feature").
"I wanted to get her blessing, so I FaceTimed her and played it for her because I didn’t want her to be blindsided by that or feel like creeped out or anything," he said. "If she had said, 'Yo, I hate it. I don’t want it to come out,' it wouldn’t have come out. She was like, 'Oh, I mean it’s not my song. I suppose it’s OK.' She was just kinda thrown off and she just kinda let it go."
Jack was also asked if he actually had a crush on Dua, and said "I admire her." Which I guess was secretly code for "I want to date her," so!
