Luke Newton improvised *that* “two finger” move in the ‘Bridgerton’ carriage scene

Dearest gentle reader, the time has come to discuss The Carriage Scene™. And by that, we obviously mean the moment Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington first hook up in Bridgerton season 3. Like, specifically the part where Colin—fresh off of fingering Penelope—adjusts the sleeve of her dress and makes sure not to use those two fingers.

Unclear whether you lurk on the Bridgerton corners of Twitter, but it's a deeply horny place and everyone is extremely invested in Colin's finger moment, as you can see:

Luke spoke to Deadline about filming the scene, saying it “encapsulates everything.” More importantly, he let it slip that “We did multiple versions, maybe five or six different versions of how we play the scene out and then just left it up to the edit. That was a really freeing process of just let’s cover all bases here and whatever works within the story…it just felt really appropriate. I feel like it’s written so perfectly that we finish the end of Part 1 at that point, because it feels like a moment of relief and contentment, but actually there’s the underlying story of Whistledown.”
