We've Been Using Post-It Notes Wrong This Whole Time

Anything that can remind us to do important stuff is our friend. We've got a lot to remember and when you throw in rent, bills and deadlines, that's a whole lot of potential forgetfulness that could land us in some serious shizz.

So all hail the sticky note - the little squares of paper that come to our rescue and brighten our day with their neon-rave-themed colour coordination.

There is just one detrimental flaw to this vital piece of stationery – they just don't stick for long enough. You see one corner start to curl after a short amount of time stuck to your fridge, wall or arm and you know that your reminder note isn't long for this world.

But, fear not, as blogger Martin Schapendonk thinks he may have found the answer and it's all about your peeling technique.

After a bit of trial and error, Schapendonk found that peeling the post-it away from the pad from left to right allows it to stick to the chosen surface much flatter. This means it will hopefully stay there for longer.

What we shouldn't do is hold the note at the bottom and pull it upwards away from the pad. *face palm*

At least now we know... and so too will our fridge door first thing in the morning.
