Spending time with the ones closely knitted to your heart and eating delectable food is what Christmas is all about. And it is ludicrous not to imagine a table laden with lip-smacking food. But if cooking for the feast is a back-breaking activity for you and giving you nightmares, here are some quick, easy yet enticing recipes curated by chefs to bring all the magic of the season to the table.
Choco Christmas Pudding
Ingredients
110 gm butter
140 gm castor sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 1/2 tbsp refined flour
1 1/2 tbsp almond flour
1 tbsp raisins &tutti-frutti (mix)
4 tbsp cocoa powder
75 ml chocolate flavoured syrup
Caramel Flavoured Syrup as needed
Method
Butter ramekins and keep it aside.
In a bowl, mix butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla essence, flour, almond flour, cocoa powder along with the raisins and tutti frutti mix. Add chocolate flavoured syrup and mix it until blended.
Pour the batter in the ramekins and place it on a baking tray.
Bake it at 160 C for 10 minutes, until the tops are firm and cracked but the chocolate beneath is hot and gooey.
Dust with icing sugar and drizzle caramel flavoured syrup and serve hot.

Balsamic Beetroot Salad
Beet salad is always synonymous with Christmas because of the deep red beets and bright green pea shoots that bring a festive touch to the table.
Ingredients
4 beets, peeled
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 bunch pea shoots (about 100 grams)
Method
In medium bowl, combine all the ingredients (except beets) and mix well.
Using a vegetable peeler, shave thin strips of beet into the bowl.
Toss until the beets are coated in the vinaigrette.
Let rest for 5 minutes.
Serve on plates, adding pea shoots on top.

Choco Martini
Ingredients
Few Ice cubes
2 scoops Vanilla ice cream
3 tbsp chocolate flavoured syrup
30 ml sprite
Milk chocolate
Method
Place a few pieces of milk chocolate at the bottom of a chilled cocktail glass.
Combine all the chocolate martini ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
Cover and shake until chilled. Strain into the chilled cocktail glass.
