The year 2020 changed our priorities, putting health right on top of the list. In 2021, we have all begun with one common resolution to become healthier and ward off diseases or illness.  However, last year we also saw the rise of a lot of fad diets. Before embarking on any kind of diet, it’s essential to keep in mind that there’s no shortcut to achieve your goals. So starving or completely denouncing certain food groups is not the way to a fitter life. Neha Ahuja, health and wellness coach and founder of Kaashi wellness tells us how we can achieve our fitness goals the right way.

Try Intermittent fasting

This method switches between fasting and eating and is known to be an effective way to lose weight and helps eliminate excess toxins from the body

Begin your day with detox shots

Begin your day with a detox shot. This is extremely rewarding as it helps clean the gut which is important for good health. In the summers you can either take a shot of lemon juice with root ginger juice and warm water or fresh grapefruit juice.

Keep healthy snacks handy

While on the go or in between meals, ensure you eat healthy fats like dry fruits and nut bars. These help in filling you up sans the guilt.

Munch on soaked Nuts

Get your daily dose of supplements by soaking nuts in water and eating them in the morning. This helps in adding the right nutrients to your diet.

Skip sugar

Eliminate sugar from your diet. Sugar is empty calories and harms your body in innumerable ways. Replace sugar with healthy options like jaggery powder or dry dates powder.

Binge on trail mix seeds

Seeds like sunflower, melon, sesame, hemp are good for the body as they not only are good fats but also are an excellent solution for healthy skin, hair, and nails.

Drink hot water

Hot water aids in digestion and increases metabolism. Drink lukewarm water throughout the day to keep your stomach healthy.

Say no to processed food

Processed food usually contains high amounts of salt and other preservatives that degrade your lifestyle. Eat green vegetables and fruits rather than processed and oily food.

Eat sprouts

Sprouts are an excellent source of fiber & protein. It is recommended to eat sprouts at least twice a week.
