A gripping story about a newly divorced, alcoholic woman who is trying to come to terms with her situation in life. However, instead of moving on, she obsesses over her ex-husband, Tom (Justin Theroux), and his new wife, Anna (Rebecca Ferguson). Soon, Anna and Tom’s nanny, Megan (Haley Bennett) disappears, and she becomes the prime suspect. It’s interesting how she wriggles out of the situation and finds the real culprit.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte come together for this small-town murder mystery that’s full of unexpected twists and turns. Beautifully narrated in a sequence of events, this movie will keep you guessing till the end. Nawazuddin plays a cop who investigates the murder of a reputed politician in Kanpur on his wedding night.
The movie starts off seeming like perfectly normal one with a man,(Logan Marshall-Green) accepting a dinner invitation from his ex-wife (Tammy Blanchard) who now has a new husband (Michiel Huisman). However, the movie picks up pace as Logan arrives at the dinner party where he finds other old friends. A string of events make him question the intent of the invite and he gradually finds out about the twisted fates that his ex wife and her new husband have planned for all guests.
The movie has a mind-bending plot. Jodie Foster plays the protagonist who boards an international plane with her young daughter and as she dozes off she finds her little girl mysteriously gone. The crew is clueless about the disappearance but what’s even more bizarre is that there’s no evidence of her daughter on the flight plan.
Amy Adams gives an impressive performance in this movie, where she plays agoraphobic Dr. Anna Fox. She lives alone in her large Manhattan house, and obsessively watches her new neighbours across the street. Her life turns topsy turvy when she witnesses a crime being committed at the neighbours’ place. What unfolds next is a gripping drama.
The movie has a star-studded cast including Millie Bobby Brown, Helena Bonham Carter, and Henry Cavill. Millie stars as Sherlock's little sister, Enola, who finds her mother missing on her 16th birthday and embarks on a journey to find her. What awaits her is one of the biggest adventures of her life time. It’s a light-hearted mystery you would want to watch with your entire family.
