In the ever-evolving world of fashion, we witness an array of trends every season. This season was no exception, with designers pushing all boundaries to come up with astonishing designs and concepts, and new styles coming in. Let's take a little dive into the newest, hottest and oh-so-chic fashion news of all time!

Facets of a prism

After a glorious showcase at Paris Fashion Week ’24, couturier Gaurav Gupta leaves us in awe yet again. His latest Spring/ Summer ’24 collection, ‘Prism Blur’, brings together forces of form and colour to then radiate them as light—just like a prism gathers light to make it glow again in many dimensions. The mesmerising visual language of the campaign for this collection reflects the evolving fashion landscape, and showcases the contemporary faces of the industry.

The cinderella dream

British luxury footwear brand Jimmy Choo is set to unveil their latest masterpiece: The Crystal Slipper. Yes, an actual crystal slipper with hand-applied Swarovski crystals all over, making it a perfect fairytale-worthy fashion statement. Incorporating meticulous craftsmanship, this new accessory is sure to evoke the memory of the 18th-century Rococo court romance and fantasy in fashion.

Italian vacanza

Michael Kors transports us to Capri, Italy, with their S/S ’24 collection starring supermodel Vittoria Ceretti. From breezy dresses adorned with abstract prints and flowy silhouettes, this line combines style and leisure. Gold accents on subtle solids of black and white and woven bucket bags stand out along with the oh-so-feminine sheer lace detailing throughout the collection that captures the spirit of spring.

Talking through fabrics

Abraham & Thakore’s Spring/Summer ’24 collection, ‘Body Language: The Punctuation Edit’, explores the connection between humans and nature. The brand’s focus on language is evident throughout the collection, with an emphasis on alphabets, floral forms, stripes, and classic silhouettes. The edit showcases a diverse range of textiles and crafts, including Chettinad checks, Maheshwari borders, Gingham weaves, Ikat, and delicate embroideries. The collection emphasises the importance of laying a strong foundation for a wardrobe by presenting the building blocks of versatile layering. Overall, ‘Body Language: The Punctuation Edit’ is a testament to the designers’ commitment to showcasing craftsmanship, innovation, and minimalism in their designs.

Spring has sprung

A homegrown brand that is perfect for seasonal soirées, Moledro aptly captures the essence of exquisite craftsmanship through their collections. Case in point: the Tisha co-ord set (seen below) from the brand’s Fall/Winter 2023 line that features an illuminating splash of vibrant tangerine, an effortless silhouette, and floral motifs that echo modern-day aesthetics and work irrespective of the season. Here’s what you need to make a striking statement and demand attention.

Back to basics

BOSS’ Spring/Summer ’24 collection is tailored to suit bold and forward-thinking individuals who embody the #BeYourOwnBOSS spirit. The latest collection boasts a refined array of designs across categories, combining the brand’s tailoring know-how with casual pieces and accessories. A standout feature in the new collection is the Double B monogram, an emblem that symbolises a true boss. Monochrome looks such as suits, jersey pieces, bomber jackets, and knitwear stand out in the collection. Monogrammed leather shoulder bags, crossbody bags, and a summery pair of high-heeled strappy sandals accompany the core apparel.

Digital denim

Coach has launched its Spring ’24 collection with their ‘Find Your Courage’ campaign, featuring virtual characters Imma and Wu Jinyan. The campaign blurs the lines between physical and virtual reality, and explores the different layers of identity through the timeless appeal of denim and monogrammed pieces. As a symbol of self-expression, the collection highlights the importance of owning our real selves. Furthermore, the brand plans to collaborate with gaming platforms, and introduce a multi-sensory iteration of their Quilted Tabby Shoulder bag. By leveraging technology, Coach aims to enhance customer engagement, and create a more personalised shopping experience.
