There’s just something about fashion weeks—you can feel the air filled with art and aesthetics. You let your hair down, put together a fab look, and just enjoy the romanticisation of fashion. And when the show starts, it goes beyond the exhibit of the season’s latest on the runway—it’s a vibe, with the entire choreography, performances, and the apt choice of music. At the centre of it, you see the presentation of fashion as art.
This Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI 2024 had many special moments: a unique collaboration between péro and Hello Kitty; the debut of Tarun Tahiliani’s luxury prêt line called OTT; a special denim showcase by Eleven Eleven, Ashish N Soni, Countrymade, Dhruv Kapoor, and KGL, and more. Rohit Bal was the grand finale designer exhibiting a collection brimming with his signature rose blooms.
While this fashion week is a special one for India overall, here are designers who exhibited the best contemporary looks that we are adding to our mood board this szn.
