Slip them on and off you go!

Juttis are the perfect mainstay for many of our occasionwear pieces, effortlessly complementing anything and everything — from shararas to kurtas and even lehengas.

How about experimenting with juttis with jeans or your summery sundress? Designer Rahul Mishra thinks that is a great move!

"I recommend juttis for their versatility – they do well with both Indian and western outfits and can be paired throughout the seasons. They’re a unisex style and can be coordinated amongst couples and groups conveniently. They’re lightweight and are low on maintenance. Most of all, there is such a wide range of designs available that there’s a pair for everyone out there," he says.

The master couturier recently joined forces with Laksheeta Govil of Fizzy Goblet, who is all about adding a contemporary spin to the traditional footwear. Mixing the designer's signature embroideries with their trademark youthful juttis (Hello, Sneaker Juttis!) the collection has something for everyone.

"For this collection, a wonderful pastel palette of champagne, blush, and mint have been touched up with splashy embroidery and mesmerizing embellishments. It serves charm and delicacy without losing touch with roots. For the one who prefers classic, there’s even a midnight black piece to make them feel complete. 'A piece of beauty for everyone and everywhere' - Keeping this in mind, this collection has something for everyone. You think of it and we have it…from regular juttis to heel juttis. We wanted everyone to find something suitable for them and we hope they do," says Laksheeta.

So, here are their tips to style juttis the cool way this season:

Culottes

"One can sport a vibrant pop of colour on their juttis like in our falling flowers mint jutti and pair it with printed culottes and a white tee. You can also pair them with shararas and a simple kurta. One of the best things about juttis is their versatility and ability to transform any outfit and make it eclectic," says Laksheeta.

Chanderi Saris

"Printed juttis can be the perfect touch of contemporary to a traditional Chanderi sari. Add a pop of colour to monochrome outfits, introduce an element of quirk to sarees with brogues- there’s so much that juttis can do for you that accessories like bags and earrings just can’t," she says.

Sundress/Jumpsuit

A pair of juttis are so adaptable in design and style, one can take them from a day look to a night look with ease. For example, for a day look, you can pair our Jungle Book Look Sneakers with a simple sundress. While for a night out, you can pair it with a jumpsuit and accentuate it with ethnic accessories.

Another fool-proof way would be to pair an embroidered jacket over a basic tee and denim and complete the look with a pair of colourful beaded juttis. For a more traditional ensemble, a monotone kurta set with a floral printed pair is my go-to.

Rahul Mishra's picks of must-have juttis in your wardrobe:

· An embroidered jutti – The first one to have is an ornamental jutti that would go with the Indian dressy looks.

· A solid colour jutti – A solid achromatic or neutral colour jutti to go with your western formals or jeans or a little black dress for an edgy and sharp look.

· A pastel hues – A soft pastel hue jutti is a must-have for your summer brunches and day looks.

· A slip-on jutti –  A slip-on jutti with no back support for casual morning strolls and home wear.

· A statement jutti – A statement jutti in a striking hue or a unique style to succumb to your jutti obsession and fulfil your needs for individual expression.
