The Princess of Wales has treated royal fans to an early Christmas present, by sharing the most adorable festive throwback photo of herself as a young child, and she looks exactly like one of her own children in the snap.
Taking to the Prince and Princess of Wales' official Instagram account to upload the sweet picture, which shows Kate sat at a dinner table wearing an adorable outfit complete with a Peter Pan-style collar and a colourful beaded necklace, the Princess used the caption as an opportunity to highlight the importance of our early years.
It's a message that Kate has regularly shared through her work revolving around childhood development, mental health and her Shaping Us campaign.
"Sharing some festive memories this Christmas because #ShapingUs is all about the vital importance of our early years and the role played by those around us in shaping the rest of our lives," the caption reads.
It added that the snap was taken in 1983 and also encouraged people to tune in to Kate's carol service on Christmas Eve. "📸 of The Princess, Christmas 1983. Don’t miss the Together at Christmas Carol Service with @earlychildhood this Christmas Eve at 7:45pm on @ITV."
Many of the Wales' 15 million followers were quick to share how much they enjoyed seeing the personal photo of the Princess, and added that she looks the spitting image of one of her own children: Prince Louis. And we have to say, we totally see it!
"I see Prince Louis 😍😍," wrote one fan, while another said, "Prince Louis looks just like his mother 😍."
A third added, "Omg that's just Louis😭😭😭."
Given that Prince Louis and his siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, are so often compared to family members from their parental line (including their dad Prince William and grandmother Princess Diana) it must be a nice change for Kate to hear how much of an influence her genes have had too.
More throwback pics please, Kate!
