Whether as the uber confident and glamourous Poo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham... or the simple, talkative Geet in Jab We Met or off the camera as herself, Kareena Kapoor Khan lights up the room with her flair. With her ageless charm and glam, she has become a stylista that every generation can resonate with and it is no surprise that Bebo is now part of a terrific trinity with Kiara Advani and Suhana Khan as the face of Tira’s first high-decibel 360-degree campaign “For Every You”. The three actors represent different and unique versions of beauty and celebrate how people use it to express themselves.

What is Bebo's definition of beauty? The actor, gets candid with Cosmopolitan India and talks about all things beauty, her first and fondest memory of make-up, her elder sister's influence on her, her skincare routine, and much more.

Cosmopolitan India: What about this campaign resonates with you?

Kareena Kapoor: Tira’s campaign #ForEveryYou is about embracing individuality, celebrating every facet of who you are, and finding confidence that radiates from within. Tira's commitment to inclusivity, authenticity, and self-expression resonates deeply with me, and I am excited to be a part of a movement that empowers individuals to define beauty on their own terms, much like how I’ve always been unapologetically myself.

CI: As far as beauty and individuality go, what do you want to represent through this campaign?

KK: Tira stands for both individuality and diversity and I am motivated to help define what that means to a new generation of people across India. It is all about being a part of the ever-growing community where we look at diversity, reflect on inclusivity, share, build trust through recommendations, and build a stronger network. I want to empower individuals to embrace their personal preferences of beauty.

CI: Having grown up in Bollywood's first family, what’s your first and fondest memory of make-up?

KK: I have the fondest memory of wearing my mother's lipsticks, and my grandmother’s mascara, and being in front of the dressers. And that's how I have always been—like a baby born to be in front of the mirror (and the camera).

CI: What was the biggest beauty tip you learnt from them (family)? And your sister especially? Did the two of you share make-up while growing up?

KK: My sister is my role model when it comes to beauty. I have been in awe of how she carries herself effortlessly sporting the natural no-makeup look. Of course, we shared make-up and clothes while growing up, and I always raided Lolo’s wardrobe for all things fancy!

CI: What were the very first things you learnt about beauty in the film industry? What’s changed and what’s stayed the same?

KK: I learnt to keep my skin hydrated, adhering to a disciplined skincare regimen, and embracing the less-is-more approach.

CI: How do you stay beautiful on the inside?

KK: Over the years, I have become more inclined towards meditation, yoga, and mindful eating, and it has played a major role in making me feel beautiful from the inside out.

CI: Be it at any event, or the airport, your style is always on point. How would you define your personal style?

KK: My personal style is minimalistic. I like to go for outfits that offer comfort while also reflecting my unique personality.

CI: What’s your beauty and skincare regime like?

KK: I follow a basic CTM routine, moisturising and sun protection being crucial steps. I’m also using more serums now. When it comes to make-up, I keep it light and basic for casual events—a little kohl, concealer and a bright lip can never go wrong.

CI: Has your definition of beauty changed over time? If yes, how?

KK: According to me, beauty doesn’t have a set definition. I believe beauty is personal—as long as you feel comfortable in your own skin, you are golden.

CI: Which are your go-to beauty products?

KK: A broad-spectrum sunscreen, kohl, and red lipstick are my go-to products on any given day. I always wear sun protection whenever I go out. I also swear by double cleansing—it really leaves my skin feeling glowy.

CI: What’s been the best piece of beauty advice you’ve received from anyone?

KK: My mother and grandmother used to apply almond oil to their hair and skin every day, it’s a beauty secret that has been passed on to me from the women in my family.

CI: And the worst?

KK: I had once been advised to not use sunscreen unless I’m stepping outdoors during the course of the day!

CI: Are there any beauty trends or hacks you love?

KK: Lip tints on the cheek and vice versa is a hack that I swear by.

CI: What is your go-to make-up look?

KK: A good smokey eye shadow with a bright lip.

CI: Who have been the beauty icons who have inspired you over time?

KK: It has to be my sister. Like every younger sibling, for me, too, my sister is my idol. From her sense of style to the way she carries herself—I admire absolutely everything about her.
