It's hard to believe that it was just over a year ago that many of us were properly introduced to Jenna Ortega for the first time, thanks to the release of hit Netflix show Wednesday in which she played the protagonist. Cue our full-blown obsession with all things Addams family, including goth-glam fashion, Peter Pan collars, mini kilts and a whole lotta moody teenager vibes. It was a real cultural moment—something which was not lost on Jenna herself, who for the following few months channelled her on-screen character's largely monochromatic style for practically every red carpet event she attended. And we loved every second!
But as we eagerly await news of Wednesday season two, Ortega has been keeping busy with numerous other exciting projects of her own – and so it only follows that her style has moved with the times, too. We had an inkling that change was afoot when she rocked a Dior carpet coat and sheer gold dress to Bazaar's Women of the Year ceremony last month, but now we have received the ultimate proof that Jenna's strictly Wednesday-inspired fashion moment is a thing of the past...
Yep, Jenna has only gone and swapped her all-black goth-gal 'fits for the *literal* polar opposite to attend the LA premiere of her upcoming film Finestkind. We're talking about this suuuuuper elegant and ultra-girly bridal white lace look, consisting of a sheer blazer mini-dress with corset detailing and a structured skirt by Adeam, paired with a hint of white underwear, mega platform heels and gorge jewellery by Al Zain.
It's giving Upper East Side bride more than it is grungy Addams offspring, and while we'll certainly miss Ortega giving us our regular Wednesday fashion fix, we're loving seeing her personal style evolve too – particularly when it looks this good.
