For the world’s first-ever ASMR shoot, Cosmo India quizzed nine creative individuals about the sounds that have a calming effect on them. One of these individuals was Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, is an actor and producer who made his debut in 2016 in the film 'Mirzya', since then he's starred in 'Bhavesh Joshi Superhero' and most recently in 'Thar'

Cosmo India: Tell us about the sounds that are soothing to you.

Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor: “The sound of waves, birds chirping, and strangely enough, even the sound of a fizzy drink being poured into a glass full of ice makes me feel calm.”

CI: What are your earliest memories of junk food?

HVK: “I’m big on burgers—and burgers aren’t unhealthy if made correctly. I’ve always gravitated towards home-cooked food. I remember, after school, I would look forward to coming home and eating a home-cooked meal. Comfort food, for me, includes tandoori chicken, white rice, and full-fat yoghurt, among other things.”

CI: Are you a conscious eater? Or do you have one too many cheat days?

HVK: “I am a conscious eater...I try to consume a lot of protein and don’t eat out much. But I never deprive myself. While I fast for 14-16 hours on most days—and try to avoid vegetable oil—I am flexible about my food. I like my food to be cooked in butter and ghee. I’m big on fruits as well.”

CI: What is the last thing you laughed at on the Internet?

HVK: “There was an Instagram post that talked about how people-pleasers burn out over time...That’s one thing I don’t have to worry about because I am certainly not one of them [laughs].”

CI: And what kind of videos are you watching on YouTube these days?

HVK: “I tend to watch a lot of sports videos as well as home tours. I also keenly watch food recipe videos so that I can have my chefs recreate those dishes at home.”

CI: How was your experience shooting for the first-ever ASMR cover?

HVK: “It was a lot of fun...It felt like an acting exercise where one has to communicate, engage, and entertain without using too many words.
