The La La Land actor turns Ken for Greta Gerwig-directed Barbie—and fans are all having the same reaction: he looks just like any other blonde celebrity! Warner Bros. Pictures dropped Gosling's first look as Ken on Wednesday, 15th June, following a still featuring Robbie in Barbie’s pink convertible. The human doll has sent the internet into a *major* frenzy; scroll below to know why.

While Gosling's look fits the bill—orange spray tan, chiselled features, the works—the reaction from fans isn't probably what Warner Bros. expected, or well, wanted. Not only do they think that Ryan looks far from what he *actually* does, but they have also pointed out an uncanny resemblance to controversial chat show host Ellen DeGeneres. Margot Robbie, who played Jess Barrett in Focus alongside Will Smith, will portray Barbie in the film. The movie will also see the likes of America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Issa Rae, and Michael Cera, among others.

During an interview with British Vogue, Margot said, "People generally hear Barbie and think, 'I know what that movie is going to be about,' and then they hear that Greta Gerwig is writing and directing it and they're like, 'Oh, well, maybe I don't." Barbie, which is currently filming in London, is all set to release on 21st July 2023. While no plot details have been revealed, rumours suggest that several Barbie and Ken characters will factor into the plot.
