Anushka Sharma Shares a Photograph of Baby Vamika With Her Grandfather

They say a father is always a daughter's first love—and, we can't argue.

Anushka Sharma recently took to Instagram to share a series of photographs of her father, Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, on account of his 60th birthday. She wrote, "Celebrating 60 glorious years of the most unique 1961 special edition - my papa. Growing up he taught us the power of honesty, compassion, acceptance and righteousness. And always stressed upon the peace of mind that follows by being honest and hassle free. Inspired me in so many more ways than he knows! Supported me like I will never be able to reciprocate. And loved me like only he can. Love you papa. Happy 60th Birthday to you." 

While most of the photographs in the series featured the colonel from his younger days, the last one was an adorable snapshot of Anushka's father with his first  granddaughter, Vamika Kohli Sharma. With the stunning backdrop of the sun setting into the Arabian sea, the silhouette of her father cradling Vamika is clearly visible—and absolutely heartwarming!

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma announced that they were blessed with a baby girl on 11th January, 2021. Virat took to Instagram to share the news with the public, he wrote, "We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives. We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time. Love, Virat."

We can't wait for the couple to share the next glimpse of their beautiful baby girl!
